Translation Project, etc.
Dear Readers!
I am well aware that I have not been keeping up my side of the correspondence lately. It is rather awkward, as some of you have put your trust in me in a financial form, others more spiritually, and my usual weekly dispatches have been few and far between ever since I submitted my manuscript to Yale (it is currently undergoing yet another round of editing and should be out by Fall of 2027). Some of you know that I am caretaking a loved one and I might use that as an excuse, but really, it is no excuse, since I managed to post something for you all during the last harrowing year plus despite this ongoing reality.
I tried at one point to solicit questions to get me going, but that did not get too far (there were some, which I either did or did not adequately respond to). I also have plans to add another section to the site filled with research and writing for my new project (a book about morphology, people who try to make sense and systems to explain the world and sometimes go mad, neuro-aesthetics, and more), but I really am not ready to devote myself to it while the biography is still in editing phases.
So I have decided that one thing I can profitably do here is to offer translations of Musil texts (essays, sketches, letters, fragments) that have not yet been translated.
I also may do some more recordings of texts, because that is fun.

As one of your readers who’s put a manner of trust in you that could be defined (as you put it) “more spiritually,” I say: NO RUSH!!!!!!!!!— nor apologies needed!!!
There are definitely a large number of other things to read & and learn of on [and off!] the internet while you’re out doing whatever else you gotta do, and thus: while a lesser frequency of your presence has indeed been noted, we will 1) survive; and 2) look forward to whenever you’re ready to step back into your former stride… even if with a slightly different gait : )
